Katie Whelan

Susie

Kim Richter was a 1st Team Collegiate All-American at Tufts University and stands third in the all-time record books for most goals scored in a 4 year career. In 2005 Kim was inducted into Episcopal Academy's Sports Hall of Fame for field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. She coached lacrosse at the high school, middle school and youth level for 12 years prior to founding Scoop Lacrosse. She resides in the Radnor, PA area.

Lynn Dwyer
Lynn Dwyer was a Division I, NCAA National Lacrosse Champion at Harvard University where she was also selected to the All-Ivy League Team. Lynn taught lacrosse at the international level before founding SCOOP Lacrosse. Lynn also played field hockey all four years at Harvard. She resides in the Lower Merion, PA area.

Julie Clifford Smail
Julie Clifford Smail joined Scoop Lacrosse in late 2010 and is running the Boston area Scoop location. Julie was a teammate of Lynn Dwyer’s at Harvard University, winning the Division I, NCAA National Championship in 1990. She was an All-Ivy selection and top-goal scorer two years in a row. Julie has 3 daughters and resides in the Hamilton, MA area.

Katie Whelan
Katie Whelan joined Strike as a Director in 2009. She is co-founder and co-director of Strikers Field Hockey, and has been head varsity field hockey coach at Shipley School since 2004. Shipley won championships in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010 and finished second in 2007. Whelan was named Coach of the Year by the Main Line Times in 2005. She played Division I field hockey at Providence College and continues to play club hockey for Merion Cricket Club D1.

Susie Beers Macciocca
Joining Strike as a Director in 2009, Susie Beers Macciocca is also a co-founder and co-director of Strikers Field Hockey. Macciocca has been playing field hockey for 20 years and is a 10-year field hockey coaching veteran. Currently, she is entering her 5th season as the girls’ varsity field hockey assistant coach at Radnor High School in Radnor, PA. Prior to joining the Radnor team, she was a middle school math teacher and the head varsity field hockey coach at Springside School in Chestnut Hill, PA. Macciocca played defense for the NCAA Division I field hockey team at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
