SCOOP’s third grade programs are an exciting mix of skills and games. Skills focus on further developing the important elements of the game of lacrosse, including cradling, catching, throwing, shooting and defense. Fun drills and game situations are stressed while the girls build their skills. Games are once a week for several weeks and provide the girls an opportunity to learn positioning, field markings, rules, game strategy and teamwork.
The third graders use a regulation lacrosse stick, protective eye gear and a mouth guard. They play SCOOP Lacrosse twice per week for several weeks in the spring, with intra-league games occurring once per week.
